Happy Monday readers!!! I hope you all had a great weekend. My husband and I got our first date night in soooooo long!!! We had a great dinner at Mastro’s and saw an awesome band, Dinosaur Jr., play. But I am much to old to stay out so late and wouldn’t you know, I’ll be trying to make up that lost sleep the rest of this week. Which is crazy
T and I made the most amazing discovery recently. It was quite by accident. Two weeks ago, her 6 month old son, Jack, became very ill and was admitted to the hospital. Turns out he had/has Kawasaki’s disease (totally not sure if that is how you spell it but I am too tired/lazy to look it up). After 4 nights in the hospital, he is back at home with some
Where the heck have we been? I have no good excuse. Busy. That’s gonna have to do. And right now, I was not even planning on posting. I am relaxing, finally, after cleaning the pee off my feet (my son is pretty much refusing to be potty trained. He can do it, but refuses to. Which leaves accident after accident for me to clean up. Shim + Sons was/is a small design shop that creates simple, crazy pretty paper goods, etc. They have closed the shoppe for now,

Maybe some sugar flowers, maybe some ribbon. In my head they are always exquisite and take about 5 minutes. In reality, I am not a natural baker. What I mean by “natural” is that I have no baking common sense.
My friend T’s mom has her funeral all figured out. Okay, maybe not down to how the program will look, but I’m pretty sure she has all music and floral arrangements decided on. Did this alarm me when I first heard about her plans? Not at all. I thought – what a smart idea and a great way to work in another fabulous party for your loved ones. T and
(photo above is not from The Crispery) Months after I got married, all the cool products that I had so craved started showing up in the magazines. We just finished O’s rock and roll party and now Oriental Trading Company has a ton of cool boy rock and roll party stuff. Why does this keep happening to me? I am probably just unlucky, but I am just going to pretend
