Candy cocktails are just fun, right? This Cherry Fun Dip Cocktail recipe is a little bit tart and a whole lot of sweet! And the color is out of this world.

This vodka recipe is easy to mix up and perfect to serve for a girly night in or any adult party!

This candy drink recipe is delish!

This sweet and sour Cherry Fun Dip Mixed Drink is so fun to serve! Just look at that gorgeous color and it's a bit whimsical!

This candy cocktail is a fun one to make and drink. The cherry candy flavor really comes through and when paired with some fresh lemon, it sort of reminds me of cherry lemonade.

Using the candy powder is easy and shakes up with the other ingredients quickly in the cocktail shaker.

A touch of vanilla mimics the candy-eating experience of the stick. And since vodka is such a neutral flavor, it works perfectly in this easy cocktail recipe.

It's great for adult parties or any time you think someone could use a smile on their face.

What you need to make a Cherry Fun Dip drink.

There are other flavors of Fun Dip, but cherry is the best. No contest. This recipe will not work with another flavor. You'd have to play around to get the right balance if you use something else.

    • vodka
    • lemon juice
    • grenadine
    • Cherry Fun Dip
    • vanilla

Yes, this is a lot of grenadine. But I feel like that just makes sense for a cocktail with candy in it. It really does help bring out the cherry flavor of the Fun Dip.

How to Make a Cherry Fun Dip Candy Cocktail

A pouch of Fun Dip candy being poured into a cocktail shaker.

    Step 1

Add the vodka, lemon juice, cherry Fun Dip Powder, and grenadine to a cocktail shaker.

A bottle of vanilla on a counter next to a cocktail shaker.

    Step 2

Add the vanilla. I love adding vanilla extract to cocktails!

Just a few drops can really change the flavors of a drink in the best possible way.

    Step 3

    Add ice and shake well.

    Step 4

Strain over fresh ice into a lowball glass.

A bright pink cocktail in a short glass on a table.

I can think of so many types of parties where this would be perfect to serve. The bright pink color is so fun!

As you can imagine, this candy-infused cocktail is very sweet. Sweeter than most of my cocktails. There's no sense in trying to tone down the sweetness when candy is involved.

    Tips

    • When using Fun Dip in recipes you should know that the powder, on its own is very tart. When you are eating it with the white candy stick it tastes sweet. That's why I went heavy with the grenadine, to add back some sweetness, but you could add some simple syrup if you prefer.
    • If you're really into this idea, you could try to crush the candy stick and rim the glass with it. But they are really hard and I decided that would get super messy and I'm not into messy.
    • The fresh lemon juice can't be skipped. It balances the flavors a little and cuts some of the sweetness.

Don't leave out the kids! You can make a non-alcoholic Fun Dip drink for them!

This sweet and sour Cherry Fun Dip cocktail is the vodka cocktail you didn't even know you needed! This candy cocktail idea is super easy and totally unexpected!

    More Fun Dip recipes

As much as I try to eat healthily, I've got a crazy sweet tooth. I love candy, especially fruity flavors that are a little bit tart. And I also like to get creative with my recipes.

Since my Fun Dip Whipped Cream post is popular, and I've shown you how to make your own Fun Dip candy, it felt like a candy cocktail was the next step.

If you are new to Fun Dip, you can learn all about it! It's one of my favorite childhood candies and I wanted to know more about it so I created a post with everything you wanted to know about Fun Dip!
