This sweet and sour Cherry Fun Dip Mixed Drink is so fun to serve! Just look at that gorgeous color and it’s a bit whimsical!

This candy cocktail is a fun one to make and drink. The cherry candy flavor really comes through and when paired with some fresh lemon, it sort of reminds me of cherry lemonade.

Using the candy powder is easy and shakes up with the other ingredients quickly in the cocktail shaker.

A touch of vanilla mimics the candy-eating experience of the stick. And since vodka is such a neutral flavor, it works perfectly in this easy cocktail recipe.

It’s great for adult parties or any time you think someone could use a smile on their face.

There are other flavors of Fun Dip, but cherry is the best. No contest. This recipe will not work with another flavor. You’d have to play around to get the right balance if you use something else.

Yes, this is a lot of grenadine. But I feel like that just makes sense for a cocktail with candy in it. It really does help bring out the cherry flavor of the Fun Dip.

I can think of so many types of parties where this would be perfect to serve. The bright pink color is so fun!

As you can imagine, this candy-infused cocktail is very sweet. Sweeter than most of my cocktails. There’s no sense in trying to tone down the sweetness when candy is involved.

Tips

  • When using Fun Dip in recipes you should know that the powder, on its own is very tart. When you are eating it with the white candy stick it tastes sweet. That’s why I went heavy with the grenadine, to add back some sweetness, but you could add some simple syrup if you prefer.
  • If you’re really into this idea, you could try to crush the candy stick and rim the glass with it. But they are really hard and I decided that would get super messy and I’m not into messy.
  • The fresh lemon juice can’t be skipped. It balances the flavors a little and cuts some of the sweetness.

Don’t leave out the kids! You can make a non-alcoholic Fun Dip drink for them!
