Why you need to try this Fun Dip Drink recipe

This easy Fun Dip Drink recipe is one that your kids will love.

It's just 4 ingredients and I did my best to make sure that it tastes like cherry, which is my favorite Fun Dip flavor.

I love how places like Sonic and Dylan's candy bar use candy in their drinks.

It's a super easy way to put a smile on someone's face, because let's face it. Most people like candy.

    Ingredients

Ingredients for making a kid's drink with Fun Dip.

You'll need a Cherry Fun Dip, grenadine (your favorite brand will be fine!), Sprite, or any other lemon lime soda (pre-chilled if possible!), fresh lemon juice, and a handful of ice.

I love it so much I've also used it to make a delicious Fun Dip flavored whipped cream.

How to make a Cherry Fun Dip Drink

Woman pouring a package of cherry Fun Dup into a cocktail shaker.

Even though this isn't a cocktail, a cocktail shaker means that you can chill this non-alcoholic drink quickly and ensure the candy dissolves easily.

Add a packet of Cherry Fun Dip to the cocktail shaker.

Cocktail shaker with a lemon, glass and bottle of Sprite next to it on a cutting board.

Then add the grenadine and lemon juice.

    Add ice, then shake well.

The outside of the shaker will get chilled and so will the fruity drink ingredients inside.

Add the Sprite and use a bar spoon to stir.

You do not want to add soda to a cocktail shaker and shake it. It will explode.

And that's just a huge mess.

Grab a small glass and fill with ice.

Then pour the ingredients in the cocktail shaker over the ice.

    Garnish with a Lik-a-Stix.

    Variations

If you don't have grenadine, you can also use the liquid in a jar of maraschino cherries.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a different flavor of Fun Dip?

Yes of course! But with cherry flavor and the grenadine, it's easy to get that sweet faux cherry flavor that I was trying to mimic in this recipe.

Can I make a grown-up version of this Cherry Fun Dip Drink?

If you want to make this drink a little more adult-friendly you can try my Sweet and Sour Cherry Fun Dip Mixed Drink. The flavor is a little bit different than this non-alcoholic version but still super sweet and tasty.

Doesn't this drink contain too much sugar for kids?

This drink is full of sugar. It's not something I would make my kids often. But it is one of those fun things to make to create a little mom magic.

Can I make my own Fun Dip to use in this drink?

If you want to make your own Fun Dip, you can do that too!
