I just love the flavor of green chiles. And buying them in the can means that all of the work is done for you. Hatch is a well-known brand that tastes delicious! But you can use any kind of diced green chile you can find at the store.

If you want to add some heat, you can swap out one can for a can of diced jalapenos. My face is not cute when I eat hot things so I never make it this way.

Cream cheese and mayonnaise make a delicious base. With cumin and garlic powder and salt, you get a well-rounded flavor that you’ll really enjoy.

The cheddar and parmesan cheese take this to the next level of comfort and flavor.

When all of this comes together, it makes a delicious dish of dip.

Tips

  • Using 2 cans of the diced green chiles ensures that every bite is full of them! YUM!
  • This dip mixes best when the cream cheese is softened to room temperature.
  • It’s easy to reheat the dip in the microwave as needed.

How to Store leftovers

While there may not be much left for leftovers, you can store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to five days. It will last for about one month in the freezer.

But if you’re like me and know there is dip in the house, you won’t need it to last a month.

Creamy, cheesy and delicious, this easy hot chile dip recipe is one that will help get you through any stress-eating situation that comes up as we bring 2020 to a close.
