Laser Treatment for Acne Scars Final Results
It has been six weeks since I had my laser treatment for acne scars at CosmetiCare and I’m so happy with how it turned out! I’m excited to share my final results with you! After many rounds of microneedling, I wanted to try something else to help smooth my skin. I did a CO2 laser resurfacing for acne scars and it was amazing!

Laser Treatment for Acne Scars Final Results
Prior to doing the laser for acne scars, I had done several rounds of microneedling. Microneedling is painful. But the results are pretty great! As someone who has hated the texture of her skin for as long as I can remember, I was willing to endure a little pain to see a difference.
When CosmetiCare suggested the CO2 laser to reduce acne scars, I was super nervous. It sounded super aggressive and I wasn’t sure I’d be brave enough to do it. But I am so glad that I was. The results from it have been amazing! I have gained back my self-confidence and no longer feel like I have to hide behind my makeup and my hair.
This photo is from 10 days after the laser. I have a little bit of foundation on here but I was so amazed at how easy the healing process was and how smooth my skin looked! I have really large pores, so I know my skin will never be “perfect” but knowing where I started from – the change is EVERYTHING!
Before and After Images from Laser Acne Scar Removal
These before and after pictures for laser acne scar removal really don’t do the results justice! The photos show only a subtle difference but I think it is much easier to see in person. These before photos are also after 3 microneedling treatments so it’s truly hard to understand where my skin started from before having any treatments.
I had a follow-up appointment with Tanaz, the nurse who did my treatment (who I adore and is the best and you should absolutely make an appointment with to find out what treatments would be perfect for you) and she went over the improvements she noticed in my skin.
Tanaz said my skin looked plumper from collagen stimulation, she said my sun damage had improved and that all my lines had softened a bit. I was really surprised to see the before and after side by side. To me, the improvements don’t stand out very much. But personally, I couldn’t be happier with how my skin looks now.
The hardest part of the whole healing process was not getting to use my regular anti-aging skincare. My skin, even after the treatment, looks the smoothest when it’s moisturized. As soon as I was able to start wearing makeup again, the gentle soaps and moisturizer I had been using just weren’t cutting it anymore.
After having both microneedling and a CO2 Laser Treatment, I much prefer the laser! I was never in any pain and the healing process was very similar to the microneedling and tolerable. I also think I got great results from just one laser whereas I did 3 sessions of microneedling with a nurse and got similar results. 
One of the most important differences to me is that my makeup wears so much better! I have always had oily skin, and coupled with acne scars, it made me always feel that by the end of the day I was a mess! I used to wash my face and put on a fresh face of makeup even to just go out to a casual dinner on a Friday night with my family.
After the microneedling, I was able to stop doing that. Of course, if I have a special event, I’m going to redo my makeup from scratch, but these treatments to reduce acne scars have been such an amazing improvement to my life!
Never in the past would I have volunteered to be in a picture at the end of a long day. The image above was taken in the evening, wearing the same makeup I put on in the morning. And it’s fine! Of course, it could be better, but I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders! I’ve always been high-maintenance, but these treatments from CosmetiCare have given me some life back!
Until working with CosmetiCare, I never dreamed that I would actually get these treatments and improve the texture of my skin. Being an ambassador has been life-changing. I’m beyond grateful to CosmetiCare for providing me with these treatments and being part of this journey with me.
