    Why this recipe works

If you like making easy cocktails at home and are looking for products that can be used in multiple ways, this Haus Spritz is for you!

I’m a big fan of Haus aperitifs (especially since they are so great to make Haus Cocktails with). But if you aren’t familiar with the brand, I’ll give you just the highlights.

Haus creates wine-based aperitifs, in a variety of flavors, that can be enjoyed on their own, with some club soda or turned into a cocktail. The ingredients are natural and they don’t add sugar which makes these excellent if you are trying to stick to cleaner ingredients.

They create unique flavor combinations and I’m super obsessed with the Lemon Lavender. (You’re going to want to check out my Lemon Lavender Mule that I made with it too).

The flavors are not in your face and are delicately balanced and complex. And it pairs really well with club soda and sparkling wine.

A spritz is a fun summer (or anytime) cocktail (I mean, who doesn’t love an Aperol Spritz!) so adding some Haus is a great idea.

This Lemon Lavender Spritz is refreshing, fizzy and super easy to make.

    Ingredient Notes

Labeled ingredients to make Haus Spritz cocktail with sparkling water and prosecco.

While I use the Lemon Lavender Haus flavor in my spritz, you can use any flavor they offer.

I reach for Spiced Cherry during the winter. And I also really love Bitter Clove. It reminds me of bitters (which I love – Bitters and Soda is my jam!).

Any sparkling water or club soda will work. While I like a lighter fizz in my Super Skinny Margarita, the bubblier the better in this Lemon Lavender Spritz and you get that with club soda.

I used prosecco to make this spritz but any sparkling wine will work. Champagne, Cava, etc…all good. I love to keep mini bottles on hand to make recipes like this. No use in opening a whole bottle if it might end up going to waste.

You can use dry or sweeter wine depending on what you like. It truly won’t make or break this recipe.

How To Make Champagne Spritz with Haus

Woman adding Haus aperitif to a wine glass.

To a wine glass, add ice. Top with 2 ounces Lemon Lavender Haus.

Woman pouring the soda water into a wine glass over ice.

Add 1 ounce of club soda.

Woman adding champagne into a wine glass with other ingredients.

Then finish with 3 ounces prosecco.

Woman adding lemon slice to a cocktail in a wine glass.

Give it a gentle stir and taste to see if you need to adjust anything. You may find you would like to add more club soda. And if you are day drinking or drinking these all day on your yacht, you should.

If you want to really bring out the lavender flavor you can add a dash of lavender bitters. YUM!

Garnish with a slice of fresh lemon.

    Tips and Tricks

    • Make a spritz totally your own by adding in more fresh flavors. You can muddle fresh herbs or add a squeeze of fresh citrus to make it even more delicious!
    • Swap Haus flavors in this recipe to create a bunch of unique spritzes.
    • It is best to make these just before drinking. While I like to batch drinks and make them ahead if possible, these are best when served immediately.
    • To serve the Lemon Lavender Haus Spritz at a party, simply place chilled bottles of club soda, prosecco and Lemon Lavender Haus on ice for guests to pour their own drinks. Set out a card with directions on how to make the drink.

    Fequently Asked Questions

What is the basic recipe for a spritz?

The basic recipe for a spritz is 2 ounces liquor, 3 ounces sparkling wine and 1 ounce club soda.

Is a spritz different than a spritzer?

Yes! A spritz has the formula, liquor + sparkling wine + club soda. A spritzer is typically made with wine and club soda. A spritzer has less alcohol.

How much alcohol is in the Lemon Lavender Haus?

The Lemon Lavender Haus has 18% abv. That’s on par with most fortified wines, and less than most liqueur.
