I love to make easy cocktails at home and keep things as simple as possible. And while I want them to be super yummy, bonus points if they are pretty. This tasty Vodka and Fruit Punch is pink and cute.

Vodka recipes don’t need to be complicated and this drink idea is always a crowd-pleaser and perfect for summer barbecues.

Full of fruity, citrusy flavors, this fun pink alcoholic fruit punch drink idea is one you need to try! It’s only slightly more involved than my favorite, stupid easy Vodka Coke, but quicker than my slushie Vodka Sunrise.

On a boat, by a pool or for a party, this is one of the best summer vodka drinks. You’ll sip this refreshing and simple cocktail all season long.

What you need to make a fruit punch cocktail with vodka.
  • Your favorite fruit punch
  • vodka
  • lime
  • orange
  • mint

Store-bought fruit punch keeps things super easy. You can use any fruit punch but I love the Simply brand of juices. I think they taste the freshest (it’s the only orange juice I will buy) and they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from.

To add a little bit of depth of flavor I like to add fresh citrus. I use orange and lime juice but you could also use lemon or grapefruit.

You can keep this recipe super simple with just vodka and fruit punch. But I highly recommend that you use fresh citrus for a boost of flavor. You just can’t get that well-balanced cocktail recipe without fresh citrus in my opinion.

Vodka is a great liquor to use since it’s pretty mild in flavor, but you can make variations on this drink by using flavored vodka (make your own with this DIY Flavored Vodka recipe) or a different liquor altogether.

Mint is only used as a garnish but you can muddle it into the cocktail if you prefer. Fresh mint in a cocktail is my FAVE!

How to make Vodka Fruit Punch

Half of an orange and lime on a cutting board next to a citrus squeezer and cocktail shaker.

To a cocktail shaker I add the fruit punch, then the fresh orange and lime juices.

This is my favorite citrus squeezer. It is well made and since I’ve gone through several inferior models before finding this one, I can tell that it’s holding up really well.

A jigger with vodka on a cutting board with a bottle of vodka behind it.

Add the vodka. You don’t have to use a jigger. You can use any measuring cup you have. This one by OXO is on my birthday list! I love how it shows the measurements so you can make cocktails even quicker!

Strain the fruit punch cocktail over fresh ice in a cocktail glass. Garnish with fresh mint and you’re ready to roll!

I always love an herb in my cocktails and mint is the most classic garnish. It pairs really well with fruity flavors.

I like to use an herb saver (like this one) to keep my herbs fresher, longer. I buy them and hate to throw them out if I’ve only gotten to use them once or twice. Read more about all my favorite bar tools.

Make Summer Vodka Drinks For a Crowd

You can easily make this drink into a punch for a crowd! Punch servings are a little bit smaller than a typical pour (around 4 ounces) and you should plan for 1 serving an hour per person.

Figure out how my people you want to serve for how many hours and multiply that by the basic recipe below.

The recipe would be about 5 cups fruit punch, 1 3/4 cups vodka, 1 1/2 cups orange juice, and 1 1/2 cups lime juice. It will serve about 12 four-ounce servings.

Taste and adjust as needed.

Tips and tricks

  • I always start a cocktail with 1 ounce of liquor. I like to sip on cocktails and enjoy the flavor and relax. Typically, I don’t want to end up with a lampshade on my head after a few of them. If you want it a little boozier, add more vodka, up to 2 ounces.
  • If you don’t have fresh oranges you can use a splash of OJ instead.
  • Add the ice to the cocktail shaker right before you shake it up. That gives it less time to melt and causes dilution.
  • Start with a cold fruit punch if at all possible. It will just help this fruit punch alcoholic drink be even more refreshing!

Frequently asked questions

What type of vodka should I use?

A great mid-range vodka is Tito’s. Or you can read my review of Green Hope Vodka in my Pear Vodka Martini Recipe post. And read all about the best vodka to use in Moscow Mules and other cocktails.

Do I need to add a sweetener?

Because the fruit punch will have a lot of sugar, you shouldn’t need to add any extra. If you find that you are craving a little more sweetness, you can use simple syrup (homemade or store-bought) or even a little bit of honey.

What is fruit punch made of?

Fruit punch is different based on each brand. For the most part, a store-bought fruit punch has very little actual fruit juice but artificial sugars and flavors to make it taste u0022fruityu0022. I like this brand of fruit punch because it isn’t as sweet as some of the others. You can make your own fruit punch with a mix of cranberry juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice and ginger ale.

Fruit punch is a delicious mixer! I know that some people like to taste more vodka though. If that’s you, feel free to add more vodka per drink. But you may end up dancing on tables.

This Vodka and Fruit Punch is seriously so perfect for summer. Doesn’t the color remind you of a sunset?? So pretty! And it tastes a little bit like a vacation.
