What you need to make a yummy iced tea cocktail.

You’ll need your favorite vodka (I like Tito’s vodka in my cocktails), an orange liqueur (such as Cointreau), bottled Teavana Meyer Lemon Black Tea is a great option and helps to keep this cocktail quick to make.

You can use another prepared black tea if you have a different favorite or brew tea to use (make it strong!). Look for something without too much added sugar. Earl Grey or Ginger Peach black tea would probably be delicious!

Honey, lemon juice from 1/4 of a lemon, a few ice cubes, plus some fresh mint for garnish help make it super refreshing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t have any Cointreau or Triple Sec?

Just leave it out! You can substitute a splash of orange juice if you have it. Or a drop of orange essential oil (providing it is food grade and safe for consumption).

Help! The honey won’t mix into the drink properly.

Honey can sometimes be clumpy if it gets too cold. If you find that it doesn’t mix well, you can try agave syrup (which is more forgiving of temperature) or simple syrup.

Can I use sweet tea in this recipe instead?

If sweet tea is more your thing, you can easily turn this into a Sweet Tea Vodka drink by adding more sweetener (to taste) or using a store-bought sweet tea.

Would flavored vodka work in this recipe?

Yes! You can add even more flavor to this super simple drink by using flavored vodka. My homemade orange-infused vodka would be so yummy in this.

You can also create your own ice tea flavored vodka for more tea flavor and to use in other tasty cocktails.

Do you have a low-sugar version of this recipe?

Make it u0022skinnyu0022 by skipping the sweetener altogether and choosing a black tea without any added sugars.
