This 7UP Pineapple Rum Float cocktail recipe is PERFECT for summer! I love to make cocktails that don't require a ton of ingredients or utensils because the last thing you need during happy hour is extra work! This recipe is super simple and great for those warm summer days! Plus, who doesn't love a float! It's like a cocktail and dessert in one! A delicious summer cocktail: Spiced Rum Pineapple FloatThis post is sponsored by 7UP.

It has taken me years to figure out how to make delicious cocktails. I remember trying to make drinks at my bachelorette party and they tasted awful. I could never figure out how to get the right ratios of ingredients. I used to make things with lots of ingredients, thinking that would give it lots of flavor, but that ended up mostly tasting like the alcohol that was in it and not much else.

    Easy 7UP Pineapple Rum Float

Ingredients to make a Spiced Rum Pineapple Float.Over the years I learned that simple was better. And I figured out what alcohol I enjoy the flavor of (tequila, spiced rum, gin) which made a big difference. I figured out what mixers I liked that consistently created delicious cocktails. I've also learned how to read recipes and know if I will like the finished drink or not. It's taken lots of practice, but now I can even create my own cocktails. This easy Pineapple Float recipe is my new favorite. Spiced Rum and 7UP make a delicious summer cocktailSpiced rum has so much flavor and makes drinks feel super tropical. And the 7UP gives this drink some sweetness, a the perfect hint of citrus, without being too sweet. These two ingredients create the perfect base of the cocktail. 7UP and Spiced Rum make a delicious summer cocktailA spoon is really the only thing you need to make this cocktail. Notice, there aren't any measuring utensils? It's because this recipe is pretty much no-fail. It's one part spiced rum to 4 parts 7UP. A splash of pineapple juice gives it that fruity, tropical feel. Making a Spiced Rum Pineapple Float cocktailA scoop or two of pineapple sherbet makes this drink the perfect, refreshing cocktail for a warm day. Fresh nutmeg on top of a Spiced Rum Pineapple FloatA little nutmeg on top helps bring out the spices in the rum. I love to grate fresh nutmeg which is especially fragrant. It's the first thing that you experience when you bring the drink to your lips. Yum!Spiced Rum Pineapple Float Recipe for summerA float is always a great idea. But turning it into an adult beverage is even better. This cocktail would be great for summer pool parties and other celebrations. But it would be an equally delicious mocktail for kids by leaving out the Spiced Rum.
