I’ve shared many different recipes for this wonderful cocktail and today I have an easy Oak by Absolut Vodka Mule Recipe you will love.

*Absolut provided me with a bottle of Oak by Absolut. All opinions and hangovers are my own.

A few weeks ago I went up to Los Angeles for the launch party for a delicious new flavor of Absolut called Oak by Absolut. The party allowed us to really get to know the product and see it in a few different drink recipes.

If you’ve read this blog for any length, you know that I love a good Moscow Mule and I love this delicious variation.

    What is Oak by Absolut?

Oak by Absolut is a vodka that is aged in barrels which allows it to pick up flavor notes during the process.

It has the richness and warmth that you would normally find in whiskey. But it’s vodka.

It is full of flavors like caramel, cinnamon, and vanilla but not in a flavored vodka kind of way.

It is smooth, with some sweetness from vanilla and a subtle hint of smoke. And while it’s great on its own, it is also perfect for mixed drinks.

It is the perfect ingredient to switch up a classic vodka mule recipe. And perfect for your happy hour imbibing.

    Oak by Absolut Cocktail Ideas

We were offered Oak and Coke upon our arrival and I loved how the flavors worked together. I also really love that they shared easy cocktails with us that we could recreate at home.

Like, Oak and Coke, is just vodka and coke. Boom.

Oak Sour from the Los Angeles launch of Oak by Absolut.

We also tried the Oak Sour. It was a simple recipe of Oak by Absolut, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup.

It was pretty darn delicious. Also super easy. You can find the recipes over on Gretchy.

How to Make an Oak by Absolut Mule Recipe

Then we tried my favorite of the night, the Oak Mule. I decided to share the recipe with you because it is still a classic Mule, but with a flavor twist to make it feel new.

And you know I’ve never met a Moscow Mule I didn’t like. I’ve even had one with kale juice…

Oak by Absolut is only available in certain larger metropolitan areas, like Los Angeles and San Diego. They have a store locator on the site but it looks like they carry it at BevMo and some Walmart Super Centers.

    Ingredient Notes

Ingredients for an Absolut Oak Moscow Mule.
    • Oak by Absolut
    • Ginger Beer
    • Fresh lime juice.

Of course, if you don’t have Oak by Absolut, you can also use regular Absolut vodka. I’m sure just about any flavor would work in this versatile recipe.

    Instructions

You can make this Absolut Oak drink in a regular glass, but copper mugs are SO much cuter!

    Add ice…

Add 2 parts Oak by Absolut.

Pouring ginger beer for a absolut vodka mule recipe.

    To 5 parts Ginger Beer.

Squeezing fresh lime juice for a oak by absolut cocktail.

Squeeze ¼ to ½ fresh lime juice. I always do more because I LOVE lime juice.

Give it a quick stir. I used my knife so I didn’t have to dirty another dish because I’m lazy like that. And because, that’s like, badass.

Then enjoy! This ice-cold vodka mule is perfect for blazing hot summer days.

This one would also be great in the fall months because of the warm vanilla notes of the vodka. In conclusion, this drink works any time.

Oak Aboslut is like a cross between Whiskey and Vodka and I’m not mad at it. Which makes this Vodka Mule a oaky twist on the classic and super yummy.
