This Cold Brew White Russian recipe was inspired by a challenge I was given by a fellow blogger many years ago. I created this drink to pair perfectly with donuts.

And nothing goes better with donuts than coffee! Perfect for brunch or any breakfast celebration, this easy rum drink is delish!

Why This Recipe Works

A White Russian is a classic cocktail recipe that we know is delicious. So I swapped out a few simple ingredients to make a sweet, coffee twist.

Instead of vodka, I used coconut rum instead. It adds another layer of flavor that goes great with the coffee and also the heavy cream.

Store-bought cold brew keeps the prep time down making this a tasty quick and easy drink.

It takes just minutes to put this drink together and it’s just as easy to make one as it is for a crowd.

This White Russian with coffee recipe is refreshing and the perfect counterpoint to the sugar donut. The coconut rum smooths out the acidity of the coffee and the touch of agave makes it super easy to drink.

Serve this for any breakfast or brunch. And absolutely always serve it with donuts! I mean, you don’t really have to, but why wouldn’t you!?

Top Tips

  • If you don’t have coconut rum, you can use regular rum. Or Vodka. Either will be delicious.
  • You can make your own coffee for this cocktail. Just make it extra strong. Spiced Coffee Grounds would be extra delicious!
  • Adding sweetner to cocktails is a great way to balance all the flavors. If you find that it is too sweet for you, just leave it out or use less. I’m not a fan of sweet drinks but sometimes it can make all the difference.
  • Make it blended by adding this recipe and ice to a high speed blender!
