    A Pretty Blackberry Smoothie Recipe

I’m partnering with Aveeno® to share how to promote healthy skin, from the inside out, as part of a sponsored post with Socialstars. #AveenoYum! Try this blackberry ginger oat smoothie for breakfast tomorrow! (ad) #AveenoTurns out you get more health benefits from a smoothie than from toaster pastries! I’ve spent my life trying to ignore that fact, but the truth is, eating natural foods, really does help promote a healthier body. The right diet, paired with the right skin care products, can get you beautiful, healthy skin. This blackberry smoothie recipe is delicious and will help your skin, from the inside out.

Blackberry and ginger smoothies are a great healthy breakfast idea! Smoothies are a great way to work fresh fruit and veggies in to your daily diet. Because they are raw, you get bunches of nutrients out of them. And you almost can’t ruin a smoothie, so if you aren’t one to follow a recipe, just add the ingredients you like, and blend well. I love to include oats in my smoothies. I think it helps to fill me up a little bit more than a standard fruit based smoothie. If you are careful with each ingredient, a smoothie can be really healthy for you. If you aren’t careful however, you can get as much fat and sugar and bad stuff as a cheeseburger. Sharing a blackberry ginger smoothie recipe! It's the perfect way to start the day! (ad) #AveenoBlackberries are like the Jan (Brady Bunch reference – oh, you’re too young to know who they are? Go google it while I cry a little) of the berry family. Strawberries are the sought after, pretty older sister. Blueberries are the precocious little sister and raspberries are quirky Cousin Oliver. Blackberries want to be invited to the party but rarely are. BUT there are lots of great things about blackberries. Their color is dark, moody and gorgeous. Their flavor is delicate and sweet and the seeds are not nearly as obnoxious as the raspberry. They are also high in Vitamin C, high in antioxidants and instigate the tightening of tissues which may help make your skin look younger.

I decided to pair the blackberry with fresh ginger because ginger is also full of anti oxidants, has other anti-aging properties and also helps nutrients absorb in to the body. Plus, it’s spicy and I love that bit of heat paired with tangy yogurt.
Did you know healthy skin can come from a smoothie? This blackberry ginger oat smoothie can help your skin from the inside, out! (ad) #AveenoI’m careful with how much sugar, even natural, that I put in my smoothies. I sometimes add a little honey, but it’s up to you how much you use it. If you need a bit to be able to enjoy the smoothie, by all means, add it! Also, you can add spices to the smoothie to change it up. Sometimes I’ll add a little cinnamon (which has its own health benefits) or cloves, etc. Look for things that have lots of flavor, but don’t add many calories, fats or sugars and you are on your way to a good for you smoothie.

A blackberry smoothie is the perfect way to start the morning! Start your day off right with a healthy smoothie, you know, to make yourself feel better for all the fries you will probably end up eating later…

Blackberries have really great skin beautifying properties. Today I'm sharing my new favorite lotion with blackberry and a blackberry ginger smoothie recipe! (ad) #AveenoAveeno® has a new product line out called Aveeno® Absolutely Ageless™. These anti-aging products contain Active Naturals® Blackberry complex which is infused with vitamins and antioxidants. Both of these products help to visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles and help your skin look younger and healthier. Thank you, Aveeno®! My lines are really happy about these two products! Getting healthy skin requires a combo or eating right and finding the right lotions for your skin! (ad) #AveenoThe Aveeno® Absolutely Ageless™ Daily Moisturizer with Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen (that’s a mouthful) helps improve your skin’s elasticity and firmness which can help your skin look more youthful in just a week. And it smells awesome! It has a hint of berry scent which is great considering this has a higher SPF than I have been using! The lotion feels really light and absorbs quickly. I don’t hesitate to use it under my makeup. And I love knowing I’m getting a little bit more protection from the sun, even though it’s winter.Today I'm partnering with #Aveeno to share how I even my skin tone from the inside out. Sharing my new favorite products and a blackberry ginger smoothie recipe! (ad) Eyes are one of the first places that start to show signs of aging. The Aveeno® Absolutely Ageless™ Eye Cream helps to reduce the puffiness (on myself, I call them bags but puffiness sounds a little nicer) and dark circles. You should start to see a lessening in the appearance of your crow’s-feet in about a week. Just a small amount, at night and in the morning is what you need to create younger looking skin around your peepers. This too, works great under makeup! I really love how wonderfully they absorb in to the skin!

So with the blackberry smoothie and Blackberry Complex of the Aveeno® Absolutely Ageless™ products, your skin will be looking healthier and more youthful, fast!

Thank you for supporting brands, like Aveeno®, that let me share ways to keep our skin looking its best and wrinkles at bay!
