If you've forgotten to pre-chill the ingredients, shake them - minus the ginger beer - in a cocktail shaker with some ice, before adding to the mug and topping up with the ginger beer. Do not shake the ginger beer (or any other carbonated beverage unless you want to clean up a big mess..!)
