This Honey Goat Cheese Flatbread Recipe with blueberries, fresh thyme, and arugula serves a gourmet appetizer in just 20 minutes. It's the perfect combination of sweet and salty and a great appetizer to share with friends.
Slice the onion into thin strips. Add to a skillet with the oil and cook over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes until the onions turn translucent. Add the salt and a tablespoon of honey and stir. Remove from heat.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Spread a layer of cream cheese over each of the flatbreads and place on a baking sheet. Divide the onions evenly between each of the pieces.
Sprinkle a few thyme leaves over each bread. Place the blueberries spaced out on each piece as desired. Crumble the goat cheese into bite size pieces and sprinkle around each bread.
Place in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the blueberries are ready to burst.
Remove from heat and add a small amount of arugula to each bread and a light drizzle of honey to top it off.
Notes
If you can't find honey goat cheese you can use plain goat cheese. If you find that the naan becomes too tough when baking try baking it next time at a lower temperature and keep it as far from the heating element as you can.
