Warm up this winter with this delicious spiced pear mule.

Spoiler alert. This Spiced Pear MOSCOW MULE is SUPER tasty!

I usually make a delicious Spiced Pear Bellini for New Year’s Eve. And you know I love to make a Moscow Mule from time to time.

So I decided to combine both of those and see how tasty it would be.

This easy vodka cocktail is a great one to make for people who aren’t big drinkers. It’s also not super sweet. This Pear Mule is the best cocktail to serve for all your fall entertaining occasions

Why you’ll love this pear mule

This Pear Moscow Mule recipe is made with pear nectar with just a touch of cardamom. It adds such a lovely flavor (it’s a bit like cinnamon with a hint of citrus).

While I love to make flavored simple syrups to give cocktails that extra burst of flavor it is often another step that I just don’t have time for. So the nectar makes this quick to make.

It’s refreshing and flavorful without being too in your face. It’s the perfect pear cocktail recipe to share with your besties.

It’s also so easy to make so if you feel like you are a cocktail novice, you can totally make this!

And the only special items you need for your Pear Mule are copper mugs!

Make a mule with pear nectar to sip while making dinner. Or to share with friends to bond and relax together. Or because it’s the holidays. And the holidays are stressful.

What you need to make a pear mule.

This Spiced Pear Moscow Mule is quick and easy and totally delicious!

While I like to use store-bought pear nectar, you can also make your own. But I am far too lazy to do this.

If you can’t find the nectar, you can use pear juice instead. It is most likely a little bit sweeter.

Use whatever vodka you have on hand.

Ginger beer and fresh lime juice are a must for mules.

I wanted to make sure to really taste the pear so I used just cardamom and some Candied Ginger Bits for garnish.

Tips and Tricks

  • If you don’t have cardamom just mix equal parts of cinnamon and nutmeg. But I LOVE cardamom (see my Orange Cardamom Hot Chocolate recipe) and you should have some in your pantry.
  • Candied ginger bits are a fun garnish but you could also just use powdered ginger for that little bit of a kick it gives. I would add no more than 1/8 tsp and taste.
  • To make this even more flavorful, make the spiced pear juice from my Spiced Bellini recipe.
  • Or use a little bit of Cinnamon Vanilla Simple Syrup. It would also turn this into a larger batch cocktail making this perfect for a holiday party.

Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t love cardmom and candied ginger, can I use different spices to make a spiced pear mule?

You can absolutely make this your own and add whatever spices you want! I even love adding a little cayenne for a bit of heat on the back of the throat. Cinnamon always works well with pear.

What can I use instead of ginger beer in a Moscow Mule?

The only substitute for ginger beer would be ginger ale but its not an even trade. Ginger ale is much sweeter and lacks the punch of ginger that ginger beer has. So you can use it but it will be a totally new drink.

Why Pear Nectar?

I like using pear nectar in cocktails because it has so much great flavor. It’s already pretty sweet so you don’t need to add another sweetener to the drink.

Do I have to use a copper mug for my Spiced Pear Moscow Mule?

You don’t have to, but it’s traditional and the copper mug actually helps keep your drink nice and frosty for longer.
