Does your family celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? Mine really doesn’t. There are a few little things we do but we were kind of forced to. A few years ago, my friend started telling my oldest son about their funny Leprechaun and all the silly things he does around your house to make your kids laugh. And so was born a new tradition. A lazy tradition that we try to remember every year. :) If you are looking for some fun St. Patrick’s Day crafts to make this year, I have some great ideas that are SO easy.
Easy St. Patrick’s Day Crafts
There is not a lot of green in my wardrobe. So every year I roll my eyes at St. Patrick’s Day. I’m a grown-up, so people should not pinch me. But I like to try to at least play along for my kid’s sake. I followed an old tutorial of mine and made a super easy St. Patrick’s Day craft.
This green yarn bracelet means that I now comply with “the rules.” It didn’t take any time at all and I already had the yarn lying around so it was super inexpensive. It really is the perfect way to get green in your outfit without putting out a lot of energy.
Save that energy for adding green food coloring to random foods and drinks. This would also make a great craft to do with friends at an afternoon playdate!
More St. Patrick’s Day Ideas
Our reluctant tradition is actually pretty fun. The silly leprechaun leaves his mark around the house. Sometimes he leaves a banana sitting somewhere. He may turn some chairs upside down. Things like that. It really depends on when the Leprechaun remembers he’s supposed to be naughty…
