Have you ever found yourself staring at an apple and thought, “Wow, I wish there was a simple way to turn that apple into a candle holder?” Okay, probably not, but now that I have you thinking about it, allow me to introduce you to the Candle Carver. This ingenious product carves out a perfect tealight-candle-shaped niche in a large variety of fruits and vegetables. Use it to make candles
It is no secret that I LOVE iced tea. Give me a venti black iced tea, unsweetened from the Bizzle any day and I am a happy girl. And while I generally don’t like any sweeteners near my crisp refreshing beverage, I think I can make an exception for these. Hammond’s Candies makes a little something called an iced tea sipper. Picture the old-timey hard candy sticks, the kind that
So your party is over. Now what? The aftermath. The clean up. The organizing. A’s grandmother, my grandmother-in-law, has kept journals of the family holidays and gatherings for years. Do you need to know who brought the mashed potatoes to Thanksgiving last year? Meme knows. Did someone try a new recipe that we wanted to make every year from now on? Ask Meme. While I can’t commit to such copious
SOME people would say I’m a little scatterbrained. And I’ll admit. I do have a hard time keeping my hands on things. I mean, not the BIG things. I still have two kids and one husband (although I’m not sure where my son is right now, maybe I should check into that…)But I definitely have a habit of “misplacing” small things. Like my keys. I enjoyed learning more about photography but LOVED being at the weddings and seeing all the special touches each couple came up with. Like the gospel choir at the Jewish New Years Eve wedding in Los Angeles. Or the custom wine created by a groom who owned an Italian restaurant. So even though I have
My husband’s family is fairly large. We were counting and I think that we’re up to 13 nieces and nephews just on his side alone. Its a little crazy. When everyone gets together for family gatherings it can be a little overwhelming, but I love to watch all the kids run around together. Unfortunately for me, having that many nieces and nephews also means having that many birthdays to remember.
I’ve been putting off this post. It could go on for days really. I love this website. Its just that there are so many amazing products. How do I edit what to talk about? I don’t know where to start so I am going to jump right in. I used For Your Party to buy custom printed napkins for my son’s first birthday and my 30th birthday which we celebrated
This one’s for all the non-bakers in the house….which would include me, I guess. Its weird really. I actually love to cook, and you’d think with all the experimenting in the kitchen I have done over the years I would have worked up a mean baking repetoire. You’d think. But apparently the baking gene skipped me completely because I’m often lucky if I can get the preformed frozen cookie dough
