I hate posting about something that I found on another blog. Chances are you have probably seen it. Since it is awesome, someone else has probably posted about it too. That being said, I have to show you the most beautiful parties I ran across this week. Shim + Sons was/is a small design shop that creates simple, crazy pretty paper goods, etc. They have closed the shoppe for now,
I aspire to make beautiful cakes. In my head I see myself baking the most tasty, moist layer cakes that are tiered and iced in a simple, yet elegant manner. Maybe some sugar flowers, maybe some ribbon. In my head they are always exquisite and take about 5 minutes. In reality, I am not a natural baker. What I mean by “natural” is that I have no baking common sense.
My friend T’s mom has her funeral all figured out. Okay, maybe not down to how the program will look, but I’m pretty sure she has all music and floral arrangements decided on. Did this alarm me when I first heard about her plans? Not at all. I thought – what a smart idea and a great way to work in another fabulous party for your loved ones. T and

This was the
We ended up sending out a video invite for my son’s 3rd birthday party instead of going the traditional route. We felt like it gave the guests a sense of what to expect at the party and allowed people to really see our son in all his rock star glory. My husband enjoys making little videos of our son, so this was a fun father/son project and helped to get
Dear Minutes, Look, I know that there are only so many of you in a day. But I wanted to bring you up to speed on a few things. Have you heard of cloning? Cause they are doing it with sheep now. That isn’t useful to me. But if you could get cloned, minutes, just think of all the stuff I could get done. Like O’s party pictures. People are
