The Boysenberry Festival is back at Knott’s Berry Farm this spring from March 16 – April 8, 2018! You don’t want to miss this super fun event with unique and tasty treats for the whole family! Updated February, 2018
Eat your Way Through the Boysenberry Festival!
The annual Boysenberry Festival runs this year from March 16 – April 8 and features over 75 one-of-a-kind boysenberry inspired dishes, drinks and more! The majority of these items are only served during the festival making now the perfect time to bring your family for a day of fun! Along with the food, don’t miss a wide selection of daily entertainment, live music and fun activities for guess of all ages to enjoy! I was invited to attend a media preview to taste some of the amazing new dishes featured at this year’s Boysenberry Festival. You will not be disappointed! Boysenberries are very versatile and are fantastic in both sweet and savory dishes. Knott’s proves they are more than just Funnel Cake with this festival! Some of the new items are the Boysenberry Elote, grilled corn smothered in fresh boysenberry butter, mayo and topped with cotija cheese (find it in Ghost Town!), Slow Cooked Boysenberry Short Ribs served over white rice and topped with a Boysenberry Hoisin sauce, and Boysenberry Sausage served on a bun with Boysenberry ketchup, relish and mustard. All of these were delicious!!! You can see even more of the newest food options in this Boysenberry Festival post from Let’s Play OC! Make sure you save room for dessert with these Boysenberry stuffed Churros as well as Boysenberry Coconut Macaroons dipped in chocolate ganache! The best way to experience the Boysenberry Festival is to purchase a tasting card for $30 which offers 8 of the new food options per card. Guests can select any 8 items of their choice! Returning and other signature boysenberry items are available for purchase a la carte. Tasting cards can be purchased at Knott’s.com or at the theme park. The tasting card is a great way to sample a variety of items available during the Boysenberry Festival. The culinary team at Knott’s really uses their expertise, and knowledge of the boysenberry, to create dishes that are innovative, delicious and exciting!
But don’t think that every single thing offered has Boysenberry in it! While the Boysenberry reigns supreme at the Boysenberry Festival, this really is a celebration of food and wine. Not only is there an amazing selection of wine to pair with each dish, but there are some specialty items like boysenberry beer too. And this year they’ll be selling even more flavors of boysenberry soda which your kids will love! If you’ve been wanting to visit Knott’s Berry Farm, this is the perfect time to do it! Guests can also take home a bit of the Boysenberry Festival with limited edition, boysenberry-themed merchandise found throughout the park. The new bath and body line features delicious smelling soaps, salt soaks, bath bombs, lip balms and candles. What I love about the festival is that the items are found throughout the entire park so it’s a little bit like a scavenger hunt to find the items your different family members will want to try! We had such a great time at last year’s Boysenberry Festival at Knott’s!Pick up a Boysenberry Boba Tea (new this year!) to sip while shopping for other delicious boysenberry products to take home with you. The Knott’s Berry Market also carries the delicious boysenberry BBQ sauce and jam that you love! Plus this year check out boysenberry infused chocolates and Jelly Bellys! The Berry Market is located in the California Market Place.
Back this year, you can make your own mini Boysenberry pie for a small additional fee! The kids LOVE this! We’ve had lots of fun at Knott’s Berry Farm over the years. You can check read more about our Knott’s adventures!
The Boysenberry Festival is included in the price of admission although there is an extra cost to experience the food tasting. Knott’s will also have extended hours on select days to give you even more time to take advantage of the festival fun!
