So, I just want to let you all know that this is moving week. This Saturday is the day. So this week is particularly hectic and I am fairly certain this will be my only post for the week. Dry your tears. I’ll be back soon. I have some cute ideas from my grandfather-in-law’s 90th birthday party from this past weekend and can’t wait to show you the pictures. But for now I just wanted to share one of my favorite entertaining blogs with you. It is done by someone named Sara Hicks Malone and she used to be the art director for Martha Stewart Baby and Kids magazines and is called Party Perfect. Yeah. I think that says it all. Her blog is simple and beautiful and inspiring and everything you would expect from an MS alum. So bask in the gloriousness of her photos and stories. It really drives home the point that there are a gazillion people as talented as Martha working behind the scenes and making her millions (some of you might say that last statement is blasphemy but that is just my opinion. I mean, I do like her more than Christopher Lowell, but she certainly can come off like a beeyatch quite often. In fact, while I LOVE her entertaining ideas and projects, etc. I think her talk show is so bizarre and hard to watch. My favorite episode of all time was when she had on Seth Myers from Saturday Night Live and was trying to get him to cook something preposterous and he found it so funny and yet she was so serious the whole time. Oh and just this past week, I caught an episode where she was teaching Terrance Howard how to make sangria and he said he was in AA and not supposed to be that close to the sauce – and it was almost impossible to tell if he was joking or not.) But I digress. Sara also designs for Hicks Paper Goods and has some amazing invitations that you should also peruse. Once I get my new house in order I look forward to going back to read all her archives. It’s so pretty I could cry.
