It’s happening slowly. Our days are still pretty warm but the nights and mornings are finally cool! With the new season, comes new outfits and makeup! The Shops at Mission Viejo is the perfect place to shop for the fall fashion and beauty trends that are so hot this year!
This post is sponsored by The Shops at Mission Viejo.
Most of the time I just run to the mall to pick up the few things that I have on my shopping or gift list. But last week I decided that a girlfriend shopping trip was in order. I called my friend, Alina, and we met at The Shops at Mission Viejo to hang out and check out the fall trends.
Fall Fashion and Beauty Trends for 2017
I love that the mall has everything a gal could want. Not only do they have awesome outfits and accessories, but they also have beauty! I stopped by Toni and Guy to have them give me some easy beachy waves, which are in for fall! Crystal used a straightening iron to give my hair some movement. She left the ends out to keep them straighter and keep the look from getting too cutesy. Fall waves are not symmetrical, but more natural. The straightening iron, as opposed to a curling wand is the perfect way to achieve it! Crystal finished the look by separating the curls and using a little texturizing paste. I wish Crystal could do my hair every single day…Velvet and Booties
Sometimes I think that White House Black Market is too grown up for me. It’s chic, classic and very put together. But as I browsed the store, I found tons of items that I wanted to take home with me. Booties are big for fall, especially styles with a stacked heel. I fell in love with the velvet pair in a gorgeous wine color and gold accents! Velvet is everywhere right now! And I’m embracing it!Victorian Necks
Hi necks are very popular for fall 2017. Victorian necks add such a sweet, delicate touch and I’m all in. I love to pair a blouse like this white one (also from White House Black Market), with a motorcycle style jacket to give it a bit of edge. 70’s Vibes
Forever 21 is THE place to go for your 70’s inspired clothes that are all over the place this fall. As a music lover, these music inspired tee’s stopped me in my tracks. Graphic tees are a big fall trend, but also 70’s plaid, flared pants, etc. Are you in to it, or nah? Coming in Clutch
J. Crew is the BEST for great little leather pieces! I was immediately drawn to this coral/pink color. And I loved the teal tassel addition that makes it feel less summery and a perfect transition accessory. Statement Coats
Outerwear is a necessity but can still be fun! Keep warm and stay cool in this great hot pink coat from J. Crew. The gold zipper detail is the perfect touch. And the collar (kind of like a mandarin style) is a so chic. It’s a fun wait to update a classic cut. Cool Collabs
When Is saw this military inspired coat it stopped me in my tracks. Olivia Palermo and Banana Republic have a great little capsule collection together and I had to try this on! You can see a bit of the gold button detail in my reflection from the mirror. And the navy and red trim color combo felt very classic but modern at the same time. I love shopping with girlfriends! I always love a second opinion when trying things that are a little bit out of my comfort zone. This blue camo dress (Banana Republic) was a shape that I wouldn’t have thought would look good on me, but it totally worked! I LOVED it! The mall has so many great dining options for snacks and meals! Nordstrom Cafe has my favorite ginger peach iced tea and make unique coffee drinks like the Lavender Chai Latte. Ease of Use
This fall is all about looking gorgeous, easily. Jenny, from Sephora, chatted with us about the perfect products to use to create an easy fall face. She shared some great products that can be used in multiple ways to help us get ready faster. Book yourself an appointment to learn how to create your own perfect makeup look. Bronze Smokey Eye
Jenny used a bronze NudeStix pencil to create an easy smokey eye on Alina. She used small strokes to place the color on the eye and then used her finger to smudge it out. No brushes needed! Bold Lip
This season’s bold lip is not about color. It’s about deep, rich tones. Jenny used a liquid lipstick from Anastasia Beverly Hills which pairs perfectly with the subtle, warm smokey eye.
Wall of Honor at The Shops at Mission Viejo
One of my favorite parts of fall is that it is when Breast Cancer Awareness month occurs. With a family history of breast cancer, I appreciate that the mall, and several of its stores do their part to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research. In conjunction with Mission Hospital’s Valiant Women, The Shops at Mission Viejo constructs the Wall of Honor. Shoppers can donate money and find out more about breast health and all proceeds go towards helping provide support, preventative measures and more to the women of the surrounding community.
Visit the mall’s Events page to find out which stores are donating or have special deals you should know about. The Shops at Mission Viejo is the best place to shop for the awesome fall fashion and beauty trends! Grab your friends and head to the mall for a day of retail therapy and fun!
