I’m super crafty in my head but when it comes right down to it, I’m pretty limited in my DIY skills. Like, bags and things. I may be able to sew a straight line, but I could never whip up a little pouch with a zipper. So here are some DIY gift ideas, for all the gals on your list, that are super simple and can be made by any skill level! Did I mention they are super cute? ‘Cause they are.
I have an addiction to pouches. I literally can’t go to Forever 21 and H&M and not look to see if they have any cute ones. Luckily for me, they are usually between 3 and 6 dollars so I can still put food on the table. You can do anything with these little tote bags so I think they make a great gift idea. The smaller ones are great to use as a wallet in a clutch or for business cards and the larger ones can hold makeup, pencils, lady items that you need every month…
•Embellishments (I found these agate slices on Etsy and they came in a set of 5 from Rock Paradise and the animal head came from The Peddler) You just want something that has at least one large flat area so the glue can adhere it to the pouch.
I figured out which way I wanted the agate slice to sit on the pouch and then covered it with a fair amount of E6000. Just make sure that you don’t put too much near the ends because you don’t want it to ooze out the sides when you press down. Once I placed the agate slice and glue, I put it on a hard surface and placed a heavy book on top of it for about an hour to try to get it to stick really well. But that’s it. Hardly a DIY at all. Super cute, right?!I mean, who wouldn’t want one of these. They are one of a kind gifts and your girls will love them! Give them as the gift or put in a gift card or lip gloss. So easy!
