Are your kids saying they are bored already and they aren't even finished with school? Summer's not going down like that in this house. Of course, the kids will get to play their iPads, but we'll also be offline this summer too. I wanted to share this awesome email subscription service that will give you ideas for boredom busters all summer long! It's genius and it's perfect for moms! The Goods is an email subscription service that is made for the modern family and encourages home cooked food (but easy!) and being creative. This service was started by Amy of This Heart of Mine and she wanted to make life much easier for moms. So instead of you looking all over the internet for ideas, she's created an email subscription that will put all this info right in your inbox. There are two types of subscriptions available, Lunching and Making. The lunch subscription is for all ages, but the making series is broken up by age so that you are sure that the boredom busters you are choosing will fit with your child's abilities. As a mom to 3, and an awesomely creative person, Amy knows what kids want to do and can easily instruct you on how to manage the activity. And all YOU have to do is sign up, then check your email! There is a 10 week ($25) or 5 week ($12.50) option for the subscriptions so it really is easy to tailor make this service to your life! Pop over to the site to see all the details and purchase your subscription! This is just one of the examples of the fun boredom busters you can do with your kids! Easy, right? But I don't think I would have thought to turn rocks in to fish! I know my youngest would LOVE this craft! He'd also keep them hoarded forever and ever with his other favorite trinkets. If your kids are like mine, they say they are hungry every 5 minutes. While I've tried to ensure them that it is ok to feel hungry, they won't buy it. Snack ideas, like these delicious fruit parfaits are much appreciated! And serving it this way would make the kids feel extra special even though you didn't really take that much extra time to prepare it. That's a summer mom win.
While the kids pack their own school lunches, I'm generally back on lunch duty for summer. Having an email arrive, with recipes and meal ideas, is key to keeping my sanity. I am a work at home mom, who doesn't get summers off, so having this extra help to come up with ideas is really awesome! Having a few great boredom busters at my finger tips also will ensure that the kids will be able to be creative each day.
