The Domino Effect

July 3, 2008 By Sharon Garofalow Leave a Comment

I have said it before. I heart magazines. My favorite is Domino. I think, in part, because until we purchase our first home, I refuse to actually decorate our “temporary” space. I would rather wait to buy pieces that fit OUR home perfectly. So I read Domino each month with a sense of longing and awe at the sheer beauty of all that is home decor. And of course one

TOPS Malibu Sparklers!!!

July 2, 2008 By Sharon Garofalow Leave a Comment

You have no idea how hard these were to find. Awhile back, S and I attended the Halloween, Costume & Party Show in Vegas. Amid the sea of horribly scary Halloween items and super skanky costumes, there were also some party vendors which we were really excited to see. At one of the party booths was a wholesale company whose items included sparklers for your cupcakes. Now we all know

Custom M&Ms

June 30, 2008 By Sharon Garofalow Leave a Comment

If you are one of our loyal readers you know that Alyson likes to post about baked goods and mixes and that I enjoy personalized items, especially those with a photo. Shoot, I’ll put a photo on anything that stands still long enough. So when my sister asked me if I had heard about the new way to customize m&m’s, I freaked out. Since she had recently ordered custom m&m’s,

Adult MadLibs!

June 25, 2008 By Sharon Garofalow Leave a Comment

Okay, I know that I am not the only one who loved MadLibs as a kid. In fact, I’m going to go ahead and credit the folks at MadLibs for the fact that I can actually tell the difference between a noun, an adjective and a verb. I’m just saying – I love them. But did you know that MadLibs now has a whole line for adults only? They’re great.

Green Party Goods

June 20, 2008 By Sharon Garofalow 1 Comment

“Every day is Earth Day at Green Party Goods!” I love it!!! See, there are other people out there that believe that this topic is important year round. But as mentioned in previous posts, some “green” items are kind of bland looking. Β But Green Party GoodΒ carry the most colorful items and non-traditional “green” looking decor and products for parties.Β I love that a lot of their favor options are wooden toys.

Barefoot Contessa Products

So last night I sat here feverishly trying to type my post and no less than THREE times!!!! I got kicked out of blogger….which is my sorry excuse for having this post up so late today. Awful I know, but did you ever have one of those days? I seem to have them often. Which is difficult when you want to appear like the hostess who has this whole entertaining

Best Mailable Gift Idea

June 16, 2008 By Sharon Garofalow Leave a Comment

Are you looking for a fun mailable gift idea? Send a Ball through the mail! This is perfect for family and friends that don’t live close by but you want to make them feel extra special and celebrate a special occasion in a fun way. Sometimes, the cost of shipping a gift can deter you from sending even something small. But I think mailing a ball, with a message, is

I didn’t know I was a truck girl. But I’m totally a truck girl. @chevrolet loaned us a 2019 Silverado for the week and my whole family is in love. It takes forever to get anywhere though. Every time we park the boys take a few minutes to exert their dominance over the parking lot (see my stories). The Silverado is going on all of our Christmas lists. πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸŽ„πŸ™ #Silverado #chevrolet #chevroletsilverado

Need a family activity to do while you wait for the turkey? Interview your family! sponsored β € A few months ago I headed to the @gpneighborhoods to interview my best friend with @storiesfromtheoc and @storycorps. The conversation is archived in the Library of Congress. And now you can record interviews with the Story Corps app from your own home! It's the perfect Thanksgiving activity! You can talk about any topic you want but I love the idea of talking about how family traditions got started. Use the links in my bio to find the Story Corps app and hear my recording! #StoriesFromtheOC #StoryCorps
