Hot on the heels of making this fig and ice cream dessert recipe, we started with one of my favorite ice cream brands as the base of the shake.

This Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream is DELICIOUS and makes this recipe very easy.

Then we put a spin on the traditional cookies and cream flavor by using mint-flavored OREO thins. OMG. I’d never had a thin OREO before and they are amazing.

Like, hide from the children so you don’t have to share, amazing.

How to Make a Grasshopper Milkshake

How to make an easy grasshopper milkshake that is nonalcoholic and perfect for kids!

Step 1

Add the ice cream to the blender.

Step 2

Break up the cookies a little to help them blend well then add them to the Ninja.

If you have a Nija or other high-powered blender you don’t really need to do that. It pulverizes like a beast.

Tips

Gummy worm garnish is totally optional.

Drizzle with chocolate sauce and top with whipped cream for an even better milkshake.

If you want more peppermint flavor you can add a small splash of peppermint extract.

You could also use peppermint chip ice cream instead of cookies and cream. Then just use regular Oreo cookies.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Breyers Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
  • 1/2 cup milk + more to achieve your desired thickness
  • 8 OREO mint thins cookies
  • gummy worm garnish optional

Instructions

  • Add ice cream and milk to a high powered blender.
  • Roughly crumble the OREOS in to the blender.
  • Blend that baby up!
  • (I like chunks of cookies and chocolate in mine, but my son blended his longer and made it more smooth – do what you feel is best!)
  • Enjoy!
