I’m sure all of you are on Facebook. I love Facebook and I’m not afraid to say it. It has led me to some really amazing people and reconnecting with them has been beyond fun. It is crazy to get to know people that you went to high school with, but didn’t know well, and find that you have sooooo much in common. Turns out, my friend Sara also shares a love of yummy snack foods and is not afraid to consume large amounts of them. In that, we are a match made in heaven. I struggled with what my first post back after a really long break would be. But when I found myself offering to bring her a bag of Stacy’s Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips because she couldn’t find them, I knew that was it. Certainly, you have seen the Stacy’s brand of pita chips. I have seen them in regular grocery stores, specialty stores and even Costco. I enjoy the savory flavors, but the Cinnamon Sugar variety is HIGHLY addictive. I’m talking 2 bags a day. And then you break in to a cold sweat because now that you have eaten the two bags, you don’t have any more in the house and now you have to go to the store and buy some more so that they will be in the house but now because you have more in the house you literally have to busy yourself with anything you can so that you don’t dig in to that third bag. I’ve gotten 2 other people hooked so far, and I imagine Sara is going to be on the road to pita rehab with us when she finally gets her hands on a bag.
See you in Pita Rehab

I had originally bought them when planning my friend Lisa’s bridal shower. I wanted to do a fruit salsa but wasn’t going to have time to make the cinnamon chips from scratch so bought these as a substitute. I never did end up making the salsa and the chips never made it to the party. That was the beginning of the end. They retail between $2-$3 a bag and are usually found in the deli/bakery area of normal grocery stores, or chip aisle at specialty stores. And I’m pretty sure that if I couldn’t find them in my local stores that I would buy them in bulk online. The pita chips are a perfect way to add a unique touch to your parties. Instead of just setting out bowls of potato chips, try putting out these gourmet flavors instead. Or use them as a base to an appetizer and set out on a beautiful platter. I served the individual bags (found at Costco) of these pita chips at O’s first birthday party. The kids really seemed to like them and since they are all natural, I didn’t feel like I was stunting their growth with any weird chemicals. And if you check out the Stacy’s website, they provide recipes for all their products. The dessert recipes look amazing. I think I may be going through withdrawls right now. I finished a bag yesterday and there are no more in the cupboard. I’m starting to shake. Wait, is that a bag I see on the counter? No, it seems to be a pita chip mirage. Looks like, I better go get some. And Sara, don’t fret. It would be just plain mean of me to only bring you one bag. I will bring at least 3 or 4 to get you started. I wonder if they have TiVo at pita rehab.
