My Love List with Diet Pepsi

This post is sponsored by Diet Pepsi.  They encourage you to get out and do more and “Love Every Sip” of life.  #sharethelove

Love List with Diet PepsiFebruary is the month of love, thanks to Valentine’s Day, but in reality we should share the love all year long.  We get bogged down with day to day business and chores but it is important to remember to stop and do what we truly love from time to time.  I created this Love List to show what I truly love doing – spending a girl’s weekend in Palm Springs with my best friends.

Nothing recharges me like spending some quality time with my girlfriends.  And I love doing it in Palm Springs.  It’s just over an hour away making it super easy to get to and yet far enough that you feel like you aren’t close to home.  I’ve been numerous times but it is always fun to find something new to try on each visit.  Although we love the Ace, I really want to check out the Alcazar Hotel.  It looks so peaceful and serene and I love the touch of humor on their door hangers.  My friends and I would check in early on a Friday so we could get a head start on all the weekend fun.  We’d try new restaurants, like Cheeky’s, which has alluded me on every visit so far.  It is always closed due to being off season and I have literally missed it by a day before.  I’ve heard such amazing things about it and really can’t wait to try it on one of these visits!  But if we find it closed, again, we’d just head over to Citron at The Viceroy for a yummy lunch (with cocktails) by the pool.  We’d leisurely lounge in the pool for hours listening to great music and laughing together.  We’d get manicures and pedicures, red of course, to keep it super glam.  We’d put on bright colors and go shopping.  We’d get all caught up on what is happening in celebrity gossip.  And we’d have heart to hearts over cocktails and just enjoy spending time with each other.

And how cute is that limited-edition heart can!  You can find them in stores through the end of March (I’ve seen them at Target).  What would be on your Love List?  What would you love to do with your friends and families?  Diet Pepsi and I would love to hear!  You can use the hashtag #sharethelove on Twitter to be part of the conversation.  Now here is something even cooler.  For every 50 repins my Love List gets on Pinterest for the month of February, they will give me a $50 gift card to give away to one of my readers to put towards doing something they love!  Click here to find my board on pinterest and repin!

  1. Hi Sharon,
I have really enjoyed reading your blog, but this post greatly saddens me. It is really hard for me to write this but maybe you didn’t know. Being bought by Pepsi shows you are supporting a health damaging drink owned by a multinational corporation who spent $2.1 million fighting again GMO labeling in California. I don’t mean to be political, I just wish you thought about what message you are sending to your readers. Maybe next time you can research your sponsors :)

      Hi Annie,
Thank you so much for reading and especially commenting. I appreciate your views and I’m sure that you can appreciate that not everyone is passionate about causes in the same way. I do not get political on my blog but rather use it as a creative outlet and to promote living life to the fullest and experiencing new things with friends and family. This campaign for Diet Pepsi fell right in line with that. I choose to believe that my readers are savvy enough to not buy Diet Pepsi if it goes against their personal morals simply because I have shown a can on my blog. I am sad that I have let you down as a reader but being a reader you should know that I am pretty superficial. ;) Just kidding, but my blog will never cover legislation or multinational corporate anything. I would like to take this opportunity to point you to my good friend, Leigh’s blog Her views seem to be in line with yours and I think you will like her take on things. I sincerely appreciate your comment and hope my tone has not come off as snotty or confrontational because it was not intended to! Have a great day!
