Little Pink Box of Inspiration

I know you want to enter my contest. But I can tell you are hesitant because you have never put together an inspiration board before. So I want to give you hope. Today I am posting someone’s very first inspiration board. I came across Carmen of @LittlePinkBox on Twitter. She doesn’t have a blog but just loves great party inspiration and beautiful things. In college she studied Communications and Public Relations and created a print shop 7 years ago. She learned some graphic design while creating custom corporate stationery but then people started asking for her help with wedding invitations and birthday parties so she has some experience with that too. Like me, she doesn’t plan parties professionally, but loves to help other people plan theirs. You can tell her great sense of style through the links that she shares with her followers so I decided to ask her if she might give an inspiration board a try. She didn’t hesitate.

This image is from an email blast sent out by Peek…Aren’t You Curious at the end of summer. I loved the look of it and kept in as inspiration. There are tons of ways to go with this so I thought it would be a great item to send Carmen.

I love the finished board! Her colors are just perfect. There is a whimsical and playful feel that comes through her image choices and you totally get a sense of the original inspiration piece as well as what the actual party might be like. I think Carmen did a fantastic job and I am so thankful that she put this together for you guys. So again, just give it a shot! You’ll never know what you are capable of unless you try. Just get them in by November 5th!
