Kid-Friendly Carpet Tiles from Flor

*I was sent this rug by Flor.  All opinions are mine. Our new rug ties in our art perfectly. // www.cupcakesandcutlery.comI AM IN LOVE WITH MY NEW RUG!  Yes, I am shouting it at you.  I just need to make sure that you get how deep my love runs for this rug.  A few weeks ago I shared that my husband and I were looking at rugs for this busy area of our house.  And this is the winner, our kid-friendly carpet tiles from Flor!  Do you love it?!  It is hard to tell colors from a small online photo.  But I wasn’t s0 worried about it that I needed to order a sample.  Turns out these colors could not be more perfect for this room!  The magenta and tiny hints of periwinkle in this Chakra rug totally tie in the art and accessories in this room.  Up until now, I had just liked the skateboards and purple vase individually but they certainly weren’t styled.  But now, they totally all work together.  And the way the rug works with the couch color…perfect.

Our old rug. Blah. This was the before rug.  Blah.  It was purchased primarily for the inexpensive price tag when we were furnishing a larger home we lived in a few years ago.  It has moved with us several times but I have never really liked this rug.  I am not sad to see it go (although my husband is keeping it in the garage in case we need it somewhere else in the house…um, no).

We love the Flor rug tile system // www.cupcakesandcutlery.comI had to wait for my husband to install this rug as it was going to be partially under our heavy couch.  I put our previous Flor rug together by myself but it was kind of nice to watch my husband do the work on this one.  It took about 30 minutes to lay the tiles out and put down all the stickers.

Photo bomb while Dad puts our rug together. // www.cupcakesandcutlery.comMy youngest son wanted to “help” too.  You know, by photo bombing.

Testing out our new Flor rug. // www.cupcakesandcutlery.comAnd I had to take this photo because his shirt just totally matched the rug.

Tea, flowers and magazines equals a relaxing afternoon. // www.cupcakesandcutlery.comI want to be in that room all the time now.  Maybe it is just because it is new, but I love to grab a cute little tray and some magazines and lay around on the rug for some inspiration gathering.

We love our new kid-friendly living room rug from @florsquares // www.cupcakesandcutlery.comI knew we needed a pattern to hide dirt and potential (probable) stains from the kids.  I was worried for a brief second that this would be too much for this space.  But it totally isn’t.  I love it!

I'm famous on my own blog mug from @MelissacCreates // www.cupcakesandcutlery.comSide note:  how stinking cute is this mug?!  Melissa Creates just opened an adorable little shop with fun goods.  Head over there now!

Tea and flowers // www.cupcakesandcutlery.comI love the color this brought to the room and I can totally see our personality coming out with each step of our living room makeover.  We are far from finished.  We’ve got a super fun lime green chair on order.  We are currently (continually) planning out our gallery wall and searching for the perfect inexpensive media console.  But we aren’t rushing any of it.

Kid-friendly rug for our living room. // www.cupcakesandcutlery.comJust by getting the right size rug for this space, it makes the room seem so much bigger.  Amazing what following design rules can do for a space!  Would you put this pattern in your home or is too out there for you?  I couldn’t be happier with our new kid-friendly carpet tiles.  Don’t forget to check out Flor’s summer arrivals with rad new patterns!

*This rug was given to me by Flor.  All opinions are mine and I’m a super fan.  Thank you for supporting the brands that help me do what I love to do and share with you the things I am passionate about!

Cute, cute, cute! Love the colors! So bold — I don’t know if I could have taken the plunge like you did with the design. It’s so worth it!

I LOVE the rug! The hubster and I have been looking for a new one – i’ll have to share this with him. I love the idea of being able to switch out each space separately.

I LOVE this! The colors are perfection! I think I need to get a FLOR rug for our formal living room. Something got spilled on our current striped rug that is in there and it’s so frustrating that I have to buy a new rug. I love the idea of just grabbing a new tile. Or having a few extras around. We have one kid, another on the way and two cats with claws who love to destroy my rugs. So far I’ve only found two rugs that withstand the cats’ harassment. :) Flor would be a great option!

Tori, these are so great for high traffic areas. They have some great patterns to choose from but also the fact that you can change out just a few of the tiles with the most wear is awesome!

i was actually looking at these colors when the tiles were on Zulily. The scheme came out great. Perfect fit for your house. I’ve really got to get my hands on Flor tiles. They just make sense!
