Oh yeah.  This Churro Cream Cheese Fruit Dip is good.  If you’ve never had the basic fruit dip recipe of cream cheese and marshmallow creme you should definitely make that at some point too.

Who knew those two little ingredients would taste that good together!  So since I was serving this dip for my Mexican-themed Chicks and Salsa party, I thought I would change it up and try to make it taste more like a churro.

Because churros don’t suck.

Ingredient Notes

Ingredients needed to make a Churro fruit dip laid on a cutting board.

The only thing that would make this recipe easier is if you could get someone else to mix it for you. And it takes only a few ingredients, most of which you probably already have in your cupboards.

Cream cheese makes this recipe super creamy while the Marshmallow Fluff adds the sweetness.

Vanilla, brown sugar and cinnamon add those churro-like flavors you love.

Turbinado sugar gives a crunchy texture to the otherwise smooth dip. It mimics that crunch you get when you bite into a churro. YUM!

How to Make Churro Fruit Dip

A bowl with cream cheese dip being mixed by a hand mixer.

You start by creaming together the softened cream cheese and the brown sugar. Brown sugar is awesome, isn’t it.

A bowl with whipped cream cheese and marshmallow cream about to mixed in.

Next add the marshmallow creme and marvel at its sticky goodness. This really adds the sweetness and a unique flavor that pairs perfectly with fresh fruit.

A bowl with whipped cream cheese and marshmallow cream with vanilla added before being mixed in.

Add your vanilla and cinnamon and mix well.

A bowl of fruit dip with turbinado sugar added before being mixed in.

Right before serving, add in a little turbinado sugar for a little crunch. This is totally optional. It will not make or break it to have it or not.

It just makes it a little more like a perfectly cooked, crunchy churro.

This dip is delicious served with fresh fruits but I would also eat it with pretzels, sweet crackers, cinnamon sugar pita chips, a shovel, my fingers, off my kids face and probably even carrots.

While I love to serve this fruit dip during summer with tropical fruits like mango and pineapple, it’s great any time of year.

In fall you could serve it with apples and oranges and it would even be super tasty with pears!

Then you should probably go work out. These recipes are decidedly not low cal. But they sure are tasty!

You can leave out the Turbinado sugar if you don’t have it. It won’t change the finished dip flavor. It’s mostly used for texture.

  1. Sounds yummy. I have to admit I have never had a churro and this still sounds good.

    1. Wait, what?! You’ve never had a churro? That is plain crazy! Please see what you can do to rectify that! :)

  2. I might work this into the snack stadium I’m planning to construct next weekend!

    1. A snack stadium?! That is like a dream come true for me! My rap name would be “Snackz” if I was a rapper and it wasn’t already taken. :)

  3. how strong is the cream cheese flavor? My kids love dips, but aren’t fans of cream cheese (weird, I know)

    1. Gigi, the cream cheese flavor is completely masked by the wonder that is marshmallow creme. I hate cream cheese on its own and even when you make the plain version of this dip, it tastes nothing like cream cheese!

  4. Hmm…. I bet that you could use this as a frosting for a spice cake too! Oh… the options are endless….
