Can you believe Father’s Day is right around the corner? I’m always looking for a meaningful gift to give my husband and today I’ve partnered with Wilson Sporting Goods to share how you can create a crazy amazing custom football for the football fan in your life! My husband didn’t really become a football fan until a few years ago. I think it started because he became friends with a football player and wanted to support him. It lead to the rest of the family watching too (I say that word REAL loosely since I’m usually on Pinterest or reading a magazine at the same time…). Then the kids at school started talking sports and my oldest son became very interested in stats and the star players. This lead my family to creating fantasy football teams and following along with the season. I used Twitter to help me pick my team and while I still wouldn’t really call myself a “fan” it was a super fun activity to do with the family (I won btw…). Slowly but surely football spilled out of our living room and in to the street as my husband and sons started throwing around a football and pretended to play games. This year I knew exactly what I wanted to get my football fan husband. A custom football is an awesome gift idea! You’re going to LOVE it! PLUS I’m giving one away and sharing a special code to save you 35% on your own custom football! Scroll to the end of the post for that info!
My sweet tooth gets me in trouble. I can’t say no to most sweet treats that end up in my path. If it’s a new dessert idea, I have to try it because I need to stay in the know. If it’s a classic then I need to try it to see how it stacks up to others I’ve had. It’s really not good for my waistline. But you know what is good for me? Reading dessert cookbooks. I don’t gain any weight that way. And because I possess little to no baking skills, I don’t have to worry about making these things at home. But that doesn’t stop me from devouring the pages of a beautiful book. If you haven’t checked out the cookbook, Eat More Dessert from Jenny Cookies, you have to! It’s SO well done. And not only are there super yummy sounding recipes, there is also tons of fantastic party inspiration. You’re really going to love this book!
I’m not saying you shouldn’t spend time with your family on Mother’s Day. I’m just saying that maybe part of your gift could be these 5 things plus an hour or so to enjoy them without having to run all over town or handle your usual mom duties. It’s pretty much the perfect Mother’s Day celebration if you ask me! Just send this post to your husband…
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #RefreshWithPhilips #CollectiveBiasI heart spring! Spring is the perfect time to refresh everything! The drab winter months are over and the spring cleaning can commence. But I don’t just clean my house. I like to use spring as a time to refresh my beauty routine and do some spring cleaning of my skin and mind also. I decided to create a beauty gift basket for my mom’s Mother’s Day gift this year. Sometimes we don’t take the time for ourselves unless someone else encourages us to do so. By creating this fun gift idea for her, I know that she’ll be able to enjoy taking a little extra time to pamper herself instead of feeling guilty for doing so. Plus I’m sharing a fun new way to put together a gift basket. Spoiler alert: you don’t need a basket!
To me, there is nothing better than a cozy winter afternoon! Plus I love to give gifts even if there is no real reason behind it. It’s a great way to let your best gals know you love them and are thinking about them. Put together everything they need for the perfect cozy afternoon in and let them enjoy a little me time. And maybe buy two of everything so you can keep a relaxing afternoon kit for yourself.
Cute, right?! I’m sharing the full tutorial for how to make these DIY marble clay Christmas ornaments over on the Minted blog. They are really easy to make and make a great gift idea, gift topper and, duh, ornament for your Christmas tree! I’ve never worked with clay before and they turned out great! This a perfect craft for people who aren’t super confident in their crafting skills. And just add wine for a fun girl’s craft night in!
