Sorry Dads. From here on out, every Father’s Day will be celebrated with balloons. Your “Pop” will love it. Get it? I don’t love when balloons pop but in this instance, I’m embracing it. There is no better way to jazz up a gift for Dad than with this super simple Father’s Day craft idea. The prep is easy and the kids can totally have a hand in making a super special moment for Dad.
Do you ever have one of those days? Yeah, one of THOSE days where either everything is going wrong or you just feel blah? I’ve been having way more of them than I would like to. So I decided that I needed to figure out how to get myself out of my funk when I find myself in a downward spiral headed towards rocking back and forth in a corner. I love essential oils and have tons of them. So I decided I needed to be more intentional with using them. Regardless of your belief in oils, they smell amazing. And to me, good smells help me shift my mind frame. Plus I’m a border-line hippie. So there’s that. I made this DIY room spray to bring the good vibes. I think you’re going to like it.
Baby showers might very well be my favorite kind of party. There is so much excitement and love in the air. A baby shower has multiple (unofficial) guests of honor and there are so many opportunities to create special touches. There is always laughter, often tears and usually really great food. Plus who doesn’t love watching the mom-to-be open tiny pairs of socks!? I created this boho baby shower to give you some ideas for the next party you have to throw. I’ve also created a fun DIY for word streamers, which let you hang messages as part of your decor. And of course they involve balloons. It’s not a party until there are balloons. AND THERE’S MORE! I’m giving away a huge boho baby shower hostess prize package of all my favorite entertaining items!
Balloons make for really fun and colorful party decorations! In preparation for Cinco de Mayo, I decided to create this papel picado inspired banner hung from balloons. I skipped the traditional colors in favor of pretty pinks making this the perfect way to decorate for a girl’s night in Cinco de Mayo party. Sometimes drinking margaritas with your girlfriends is the only way to go. But using balloons for decorations can be tricky. Read on to find out how to use balloons to hang your papel picado or other party signs!
Headaches suck. I’ve suffered from them since I was a little girl and they are the worst. Now, my kids are starting to get headaches and it’s bumming me out. Although my headaches aren’t classified as migraines any more, I still get severe headaches about once a month. They are caused by allergies, stress, caffeine, and pretty much if people look at me the wrong way. Although I have medicine that I take, there is one thing that I always turn to when I need headache relief. Someone made me a DIY freezer bag when I was in college to help me with my headaches. And I have used it ever since. Now with the kids needing headache relief too, I decided that we needed to make more of these bags and that you might benefit from them too. I’ll be honest, there had been fights over who got to use the freezer bag. Read on for the tutorial. If you don’t know how to sew (like me!) grab a friend who does!
Have you guys seen Moroccan Wedding Blankets? They are SO gorgeous! They’re usually full of texture and sometimes they even have a little bit of sparkle thrown in. They look so chic on a bed and look equally as amazing on a wall as art. But I have trouble laying down that kind of money on, well, just about anything (except shoes!). I have this empty wall that was just crying for something special. I set out to find something that was similar to a woven wall hanging that would create some drama. I couldn’t find anything in my price range so I decided to make something and I wanted to share just how simple it was! This DIY Wall Hanging is a little bit boho, a little bit girly and a whole lot of easy!
