Hurry to Bubblefest at the Discovery Cube Orange County before it ends on April 16th! Your kids will LOVE this fun exhibit! My family was invited to check out a complimentary preview of Bubblefest! All opinions are my own!
I’ll be honest. I’m bubble averse. I used to cringe when the kids would bring home bottles of bubbles as party favors. Or when they’d get a literal gallon of bubbles as a Christmas gift. But there is something amazing about huge bubbles that fascinates kids and adults a like. And the hands-on exhibits at the Discovery Cube Orange County are always so well done. So I put my sticky, bubble mess hang up aside and took the kids to preview the 21st annual Bubblefest. The last time we visited Bubblefest, we brought my 3-year-old niece and I was (unbeknownst to me at the time) a week away from giving birth to my first son, who is now almost 11-year-old! Bubblefest is the most popular attraction at the Discovery Cube Orange County and is just $10 extra to experience. There are areas for both big and little kids and the Bubble and laser show is not to be missed! Your kids will be so excited!
The highlight for my boys was the Water Spheres! They had so much fun!!! They, quite literally, got to immerse themselves in bubbles. It was hilarious to watch them try to stand up inside! As always, the hands on exhibits are fun for the kids while teaching them something at the same time. But there is always room for the kids to use their own imaginations and experience things in their own way. You simply can not pass up the opportunity to take a photo inside of a bubble! There is an extra cost for this but in my opinion, it’s totally worth it! What an experience! Man, science is pretty awesome. But what really makes the world of bubbles come to life is the 45 minute bubble and laser show created by performance artist Deni Yang. There is an area for the kids to sit close to the stage, while parents can sit in comfortable seats just behind them. The lights and lasers make it super exciting and the size and quantity of bubbles is astounding. The parents love this show just as much as the kids, but be warned. Several times throughout the show, there is a deluge of bubbles. It was both super fun and super sticky. I was sure my hair was going to be a fizzy mess when we left. And I did have to clean my phone and my camera lenses. But that’s cool. The kids had an absolute blast and that is really all that matters, right? And yes, at one point that is the song from Prodigy called, “Smack my B*tch Up.” But it’s just the music, no lyrics. The look I shared with my husband when it came on, though, was priceless.
Bubblefest runs April 1 – 16th at Discovery Cube Orange County.
Bubblefest is not included in the general admission price and is a $10 add-on. With the additional cost you’ll get access to the Bubble area and the bubble and laser show in the Julianne Argyros Showcase Theater. There is an additional cost to take your picture in a bubble as well.
Thank you, to the Discovery Cube Orange County, for inviting my family to come and check out this really fun exhibit!
